It was Xcuter. I spent half that Saturday at his house to switch the 180 glass to the 180 flat back hex. acrylic... His 180 glass weight a ton... By the time I helped Jeff to carry the 150, I couldn't make it all the way to his house.... Stop to catch a breather...

   well, told you guys.. go acrylic... man power is expensive... it needs some bbq and some beer along the way... maybe when time permits and i can get some extra ordinary fish in we can get some bbq going and some beer on the side...:D that is if time permits...

Wow someone needs to look where they are posting...

Back on topic, those high fins look great, Ivan used to have several large ones but these are the biggest I've seen in a long while. His were about 20-22" I think. Its funny that you just picked up some big ones because I was thinking about trying to find some larger ones myself in a couple months to house in a com setup with geophagus. I had one in the past and loved it. Also thinking about trying to stock several in my buddies lake but need to check out the winter temps down there before I drop the cash for them.

If you don't mind my asking...how much did they run you?

I paid 70 for each but they were kinda messed up; like I mentioned they were kept in a pond with a monster wallagu and other extremely large cats and a monster silver aro. they were not it the best of shape...

I've seen bigger than mine; I think maybe close to 2 feet if not that.... they tend to loose their bars but still a cool looking fish to me.... it's all in the eye of the beholder....:D:D:D:D
