Yesterday while sitting at home with the wife. I decided to jump on Craigslist and see what was stirring. Not long I came across a title that said "Custom 220 gallon aquarium". Now I like to see custom aquariums as I like to compare and get ideas. Well, this wasnt the case as I picked up the phone and immediately called the individual. He told me he still had the tank.:werd:

Jumped in my car and drove the 30-40 mins to the sellers house. Got there and after seeing the tank, the decision was quickly made. I came back today with some muscle for the move home (Thank you Ralph for all the help, stop lurking the site already:evil_lol:).

I was told by my friend that owns a local fish store (he stopped by to check it out), that the tank is a custom Lee Mar tank. At first I thought it was rimless (sorry Carcinoma, misinformation) but it is a eurobrace. The tank measures 69"L x 22"W x 30"H. With a huge overflow on one of the sides. The tank was previously used as a reef tank and the individual had it viewable from both sides.

I love the tank as it looks amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This will be the new home for WC Mobas in the near future. Now I just gotta save a little bit more to buy them.:evil_lol:

The stand was home made (by the seller) and will transform into a beauty sometime this week. Standby as I will have a update and photos of my 1st attempt of a DIY Stand and Canopy. Also some photos of putting the filteration together for this thing.

Nice tank

I would paint the back black so that you can sort of make the overflow less sightful. It kind of steals you away from looking at the tank.

I was gonna paint it but I will not. I usually paint all my tank backs black but Im gonna experiment something new. From what I've seen at a LFS, there is a film almost like tint (but not really) that can be applied to the back. After it is installed, it will look liked you painted it.

But yes the back will for sure be black. The tank is still in the works as I just brought it home today. It is still far from completion

sounds neat

make sure to take some pics of that install.

Nice 1, Good stuff!
