Can you tell me what pump you are using to send the water back to the tank? I too am about to build a 240g and am looking for all the info i can find about whatkind of filtration i should use.

I'm using a mag 18 pump. It seems to do a very good job. The overflows are 6"X9" with 1-1/2" drains and 1" returns. You will need the boxes about this size if you are gonna do durso standpipes. They take up quite a bit of space.
