My new 2600 gallon plywood tank project

I love a lot of your ideas, I was thinking the easiest safest way to minimize imperfections in the wood is to not cut the plywood. So basically 8x4 sheet used for every panel, except sides. But I would be getting the sides pre cut from lumbar yard. I might ultimately not end up filling it past the 3 1/2 foot mark, but I think it will look hot as hell. I am thinking 2 windows pricing glass locally to give me an idea as to cost. For sealing I am thinking fiberglass all seams corners etc. then using either a max acr type sealant and then liquid rubber like the idea of flexible membrane inside. I will definitely follow ur thoughts tho, I just didnt know if 2x4 doubled up would beat a single 4x4

Very inspirational! In the first build you used cement board prior to the waterproof coating, in this tank you did not. Was there a problem with the first build?

What a great thread to read, it's just a shame you had all the bad luck, that said I suppose that makes it even more satisfying when it is finished and working.

a fantastic tank, you should be very pleased with yourself! :)

i keep reading ply tank builds like this one and really fancy trying one, you probably make it look easier and quicker than it actually is.

I searched through your pages before asking this... Maybe I overlooked

I got confused on your PDF.

Did you end up not recommending the liquid rubber?

The only thing holding me back from basically this exact build is the fact that I hear fiberglass is horrible to work with

I would hate to have so much work and money into it to ruin the project half way through

Now if I can use just all liquid rubber and it be ok. I'd be more apt to doing it
