My new 2600 gallon plywood tank project

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Keep the faith, we are all with you one this one.

this is a great build.
i had a similar experience with pond armor, had trouble getting the product, then didn't get the coverage like you said it is more like half what is advertised.

So, looks like I am screwed waiting on the pond armor once again.

Final stages all waiting on the pond armor to be completed.

Final steps to be up and fully running by Saturday August 27th:
  1. Install light timer (8/16)
  2. Final pond armor coat on by next Thursday night (8/18)
  3. Final fill test on Saturday (8/20)
  4. Drain tank, Install divider wall for sump and install background Tuesday night (8/23)
  5. Install final upper wall panels, caulk seams, and install plumbing (8/24)
  6. Install plastic sheeting for top of the upper walls (Keeps moisture from rafters) (8/25)
  7. Fill tank & start pumps (8/26)
Only thing left to do after this is to move the heater from the 1500 to the new tank then start moving fish over around 9/10.

Fantastic Build my Friend! This thread will be inpiration fro MANY builds to come for SURE!!!!

I have a question for you!?

Have you ever heard of Universal Rocks (And Habitats) out of Texas? They have made Habitats for Zoos adn all of the way down to small Aquariums... not sure fi you order your DBN background already but you should Seriously Consider Something from Universal Habitats as they have the most REALISTIC backgrounds that I have ever seen!!!! I have one myself and you can see the installed product in my 180gal Build log in my Signature!

The Backgrounds are made from the Same stuff as Rhino liners for truck beds and are imbedded with real Crushed Rock on the face during manufacturering! The aare hand made so each one is Totally Unique! Their prices are WAY more affrodable, especially in comparison to the "competition"! if you do decide to call them ask for Stuart or Talei (Tah' Lay) and tell them that I referred you... They Will Hook you up!

Anyways, Can't wait to see the finished product!!!

P.S. If you're going to do it, do it right and you have!!!!!
