My new 2600 gallon plywood tank project

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hi VL,

Awesome!

Where did you find those lights? Could you post a link please? I think they are what I have been looking for to upgrade my tank's lighting. Are you happy with them?

Thanks, and great work!

WOW VL you have some determination, I would have given up or paid someone to fix it. Cant wait to see it finished, iv been following since u started. Good luck.

Meant to say...

"No, I can crawl on the upper 4x4s and hopefully I won't fall my ass into the water"

Impressive! Here's hoping it will be uneventful from here on out..

I was looking at those lights, and it really got me intrested, as im doing a 1200 gallon myselfe, not as big as urs, but still pretty decent :) How would these lights be when it comes to plants? I gues you are not going that road anyway, but im looking into plats as a part of filtration(Nitrate removal).. Most of them will be above water with roots in..Whats the difference in cool white, and warm white when it comes to plants?

I really hope the last fix will do the tricks for you, i would have given up many times up to this date! Nice thread and fingers crossed!

These lights come in cool white and warm white. I would assume they would handle plants just fine.

Some other interesting facts I learned today:
Tank hold 365 Cubic Feet of water
That equals 2730.2 gallons
And weighs 22768.7 pounds

I started filling the tank up @ 8am and by 10:30am it will completely full.

Been sitting since then with no signs of a leak.
