Hi VL,

Did you acquire the ID sharks at that larger size or did you grow them out yourself? If you raised them, how long did it take to get them to that size? What do you do to get ID sharks like that?

I would like a big ID shark for my tank, but I end up killing them before they ever get any size on them. :(

Love the tank. Keep the videos and pictures coming!

Congatulations VL! You're patience, persistence and hard work finally paid off. Awesome build...very inspiring and thank you for sharing it with the community. Nice flagtails BTW...how big are they? Sorry if I missed the details on previous posts.

How is the ultima filter going VL? are you using anything else for water polishing ? trying to figure if I'm better off getting one shipped to Australia or just use a sump I'm looking to build something around 16' x 4' x 3' depending on glass price which i have not got yet.

Have not done a backwash yet. Supposed to wait a month after first setting it up. THink I am actually going to wat longer since the tank is not stocked nearly as much as it was designed to be. I expect the water to drop about an inch or two after the backwash is done.

So far I am very happy with this filter. Nothing to help polish the water further.

Flagtails are about 8" to 10" in length
