My new 2600 gallon plywood tank project

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just talked with DOW and they said the 795 should have been enough as a lot of the larger aquariums use this to seal the acrylic windows.

They did suggest since I was taking out the windows anyways to apply a coat of Primer C before installation to give it an extra bonding boost.

Figure it can't hurt right?

Would love to just switch to glass at this point, but I doubt I would be able to recover the money spent on the acrylic.

Possible dumb question here..

What kind of tape is safe to use on acrylic?

I will need to tape off the viewing area with some brown paper and tape to protect it from damage and don't want it to fall off and/or have the tape leave residue behind.

Thoughts?

I have seen some residue left from electrical tape; maybe it was a cheap brand. I would go with blue painter's tape. They make it in 3" wide too which is helpfull in your application.
