I saw your setup, nice work on the stand. The FH is still small so I can't really comment on anything about it. When buying small FH, its beneficial to know the parents as no amount of high quality food will help the KOK grow.

Thanks! Yeah, a bit overkill on the stand, but to hold 1400 lbs of weight it sure as hell does the job. Yeah i didn't get to see the parents :< I bought him for $20 bucks at some random small pet store! The owner was happy to just make a sale. He was swimming in a 55 gallon tank w/ a jack dempsey by himself on one side of the tank.

I was looking for a flowerhorn to purchase, but was discouraged because some of the sellers here at some fish shops were asking min 150 and Up. What i mean by UP is the most i seen was a $1,000 here in chicago.

I think i got away with a steal. The FH seems a bit faded, but he is in a 90 gallon tank with temp @ 80 degree's w/sand, java fern, lava rock, some random misc rock.

Your FH has very nice color, body. I hope my FH gets nursed to great optimal health where his color and hump flourish. I will post some updates of my FH in a couple weeks, hopefully by then u can check in and give me some tips!
