I just got my new broko ocelli from Rapps yesturday. I'd say hes touching 4 inches long at this time.

He just ate his 1st meal 30 minutes ago.

7 hikari carn sticks in 1 feeding.

He is nice , fat and healthy but I am concerned about the end of his tail.

I assume thats battle damage.

Will his tail heal up and have the smooth appearance at the end or stay jagged as it grows out ?

Thanks

So far I noticed that the broko is much more docile than the orino was. Broko has little to no aggression. Only shows little aggression towards my geo surinamensis when provoked 1st by the geo surinamensis.

Ate 3 more pellets before and seems to love his home.

As of now , my only concern is that his tail heals to normal and he does not blow out his intestines like my last broko did.

My guess is some other fish bit a chunk out of the tail sometime before I got him.

Definitly not fin rot or infection. Just a chomp taken out.

I don't know if anyone else here that has cichla ever had a similar situation that can tell me what to expect.

nice pickup,i was looking for the small size but never found one..
