My new 440 gallon ray tank is almost done!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'd be lost with the plumbing also, and I've been keeping fish since 1977. But I never had an aquarium near that size, so I've been getting by with more simple filtration. Congrats on your setup, it looks awesome!

this is prob my most anticipated thread on MFK right now... i can't wait to see it done. sorry if this was asked already, but are you keeping anything else with the rays in there?

The rays roommate will be a really nice blue/black arowana around 22 inches.

I am also very anxious and will be happy when its done.

I'm going to H20 at the end of june:naughty::naughty:

Lucky kid! I have to make my way out to H20 one of these days, that place is just insanity all around.

You're sooo friggin hardcore!!! :headbang2

very nice, how are you lighting this bad boy?

What size is the Iron tubing? Did you make the Stand? What Kind of Welder was used if you did make it? What kind of Electrode/Wire did you use? Where the welds are, is it Welded all around?
Sorry for the questions but i own a Small welding Business and would like to make a stand myself, but i dont have time for trial and error. (i get my metal free, but i work to much.)

Just one thing...maybe weird, maybe not....
Be careful each time you do filter maint. Those FX5's may not seem that heavy but you will be in a physically awkward position and could strain/hurt your back.
This may sound trivial, but oh well....just guard your back, don't hurt it.
Respectfully,
FireMedic.

i could ask a strong MFK guy to help me as well;)

the filters will be in front when its finished as well but thank you for your tips.
