How is the tank supported on the stand?

Uh, 55 gallons on the floor can do a lot of damage to: carpets, drywall, hardwood or laminate flooring, the ceiling below etc. Depending on the location, it could be quite the mess. If it's in an unfinished basement then yeah, it's not as big a deal.

Its been sitting on a sturdy made for a 75 stand

A 55 and a 75 are not the same footprint maybe the stand is not supporting the weight of the narrower 55 correctly.

Could be. Usually you are ok with glass tanks but I def take it back.

That is A LOT of water to clean up when it gives out.

I got a new one stand was level! . They tried to convince me it was a deep scratch lolz. It came that way i just didnt notice for 10 days it was really small but the new tank is up and running
