yeah, did they order it for you or did they just have it?

the only one i would consider possibly going to jail for is a nice high grade red, but I wouldn't risk having the fish killed.
 
Geez didnt know it was that bad in the states.
Do any you guys actuallyknow people who have been busted yet??
 
It's illegal to have one, period, doesn't matter if you bought it, sold it, transported it, imported it, whatever unless you have whatever permit/license you need. I don't know much about asians, so I don't even know the qualities needed to be a "highback".

there have been a couple people on here that have been busted
 
just to let you know, if you get caught, they give you a good-sized fine and they kill the fish:(

/\ well that sucks!! What kind of protocol is that, you would think being an edangered species and all they wouldnt kill it.

Well from what i know, in AUS, its illegal to import them in, but not illegal to sell or own once their in the country.
A few LFS in my area have them but their just way too expensive (asian aros).

The price was $1000. I traded in some nice drift wood and other fish for a lower price.

Those rocks are hand made fake coral formations made of plaster. The arowana hasn't been scratched or anything by them. It just looks real nice and the Frontosa and Convicts love the hiding places!

from what i have read so far, its just a fine, haven't read anything 'bout doin' time.....

....for Happy Mud Skipper's sake and his rtg, i hope no one here is a rat.... and i sure hope he has not been posting those pics all over other fish hobby sites.....
