My new 750 gallon Monster Tank...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was wondering if it was still cycling. I had never used stability before, so I didn't know if it was already cycled from using it. I'd definitely check your levels though to see where they're at.

What are you using for mechanical filtration? When I fired up my 750 it was crystal clear in 48 hours, and I'm only going down to 100 micron.

Why wouldn't you seed that filter with media from the smaller tank? Should cycle in like a week if seeded. Have you had Nitrite or ammonia present for the last 6 weeks?

Stock looks super fancy! Obviously things must be going well for you financially, it would take me months to pay for the stuff you've bought since this thread started...... lol

I'm honestly only using japanese grade a filter pads as my only form of mechanical filtration...I was talking to kendragon about this yesterday...If my water doesn't clear up within the next few weeks then I will have to find a way to add some filter socks into my sump...I'm going to use my filter pads from my 360 tonight to try to seed the media in my 750 and see if that helps to seed it faster...
As for my stock I'm trying to just keep top notch fish but it's definitely slowly starting to catch up to me lol...I'm fortunate enough to own my own business at such a young age and that is what's helping me buy the fish I have...Thanks db you have very nice rays yourself...

Ammonia level is .25 ppm
Nitrite level 2.0
Nitrate level .50
That's what I got when I tested my water tonight....

The only way to keep the poison in check until your bio catches up is fresh water period.........

Yeah just keep on the water changes. The occasional dose of Prime to detoxify the ammonia wouldn't hurt either. You're showing ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates, so you might be on the bottom end of your cycle. That is if the nitrates aren't already in your tap water. Good luck.

Thanks guys for the great input and I will keep up with a constant water change and see how things go...I will keep u guys updated...

How often and big of a water change do u guys think I should do while it's cycling?

25% every other day lol
