Nice color, how's the temperament?

well funny you should ask that..in the shop he was in a tank holding his own with 3 larger jags now hes in my tank my 10in Geophagus Brasiliensis is giving him a bit of a kicking which i dont understand as the geo has always been a really peacefull fish and never bothered anyone, the j.d doesnt even attempt to fight back he just runs and runs which i find strange considering their reputation!
Do think this could be just because he's only been in the tank a few days ?

Oh, yes!
however, brasiliensis is one of the toughest geo's there is, and mine won't back down from a fight with my larger GT and Jag, however, when it comes to it, the brasiliens does not have what it takes against the more beefy species, such as a JD

i just wish the jd would turn around and stick up for himself he might get left alone then because hes starting to suffer a bit of fin damage i would really hate to have to get rid of him!

He just may do that eventually. he needs to settle in and feel comfortable before he attempts to take over :)
