Nope both males. Almost 100% certain. My FM does the same thing to my Salvini but he's not interested in her and bites her saying get the F*** away!

That could also just be a territorial thing where the firemouth is just flaring up to look larger and is saying hey this is my stomping ground punk :D

i am selling my 9'' jag because im afraid of him turning of the rest

you know what jaguars are like (unpredictable) so $45 for anyone living in the st.johns newfoundland area
 
Way to go and rescue those guys. Real nice male JD but where's the small one? They all look like pics of the big male JD to me.

FM is a wreck! :eek: Should come around though. Watch your JD's cause if they're male n female a pair might try to whoop on your FM. Also the FM will color up really nicely when it heals up. Love mine, he's always flaring up at the pleco's. VERY cool display
