I just bought this little guy today and now i have to find out some information since i have never owned one before.. Who is he most compatable with? would he be okay in with Frontosa's..right now he is in Quarenteen for a few weeks so i have plenty of time to decide.. but would love to hear about how good or bad he is with other fish...
 
I just got one a few weeks ago. Very cool fish. They're compatible with fish they can't eat. I actually went out and bought another one a week later. So far, I have 2 Bichirs and a Leopard Leaf fish. I'm going for an African Oddball tank.
 
no more"dinosaur bichir" talk(petsmart can have it). its an albino senegul bichir. gets along with any upperjaw species, great cool interesting fish. annie will post a compatibility chart im sure.

As soon as i saw it i bought it..there is just something so endearing about his face and the way stands there, so cute..saw an older one that was so active, good luck with yours too and let me know how their doing.

I will look that up, still has the dinosaur face, he is really cool and i am looking forward to him teaching me some new things. thanks
 
Be careful bichirs are notorious escape artists. Very cool fish though!
 
Thank you for the warning.. does mean to tape up even the tiny holes on tank?
 
I really like these albino's, I am interested in a short body one if I can find it . Good luck with it, I like the fact that they are "primitive" and they always remind me of a sea serpent !!

ya , id start saving up, cuz ur gona want MORE! lol, i got 1 ornate and am now setting uop a 125 gallon tank for a primarily bichir community :)
