We had one several years ago. For 10 years. My husband was very attached and didn't want a new one when he passed away.
But it has been over five years and he was ready for a new one.
I picked out this guy/girl for its body shape and color pattern.
Hubby has not seen it yet but I went ahead and named it Karma. (My husband named the other one Oscar how boring is that. lol)
It is very small and the 55 gallon tank swallows Karma up. lol But he well fill it in and Ill need to start looking for another 75 gallon soon I am sure.

Nice I picked one up almost looking identical to your besides the markings on the sides. Within the 3 monthes i've had him he has doubled in size now approcahing 6 inches. As he got bigger the black on his fins became highlighted with an orange color. Good luck with your future monster. :D

Ok so I have been told this fish was miss labeled at the store it is really a Latino Tiger Oscar.

correct, he is not TRUE Albino. But they were not mis-labeled really. Stores label them as Albino on purpose. Mostly because they dont know there is a difference and also because "Albino" will sell better than "Lutino".

:)

by the way, good job on the good long life of your previous O.. This one is lucky to find such a good owner.

Thank you Ang. Its off to a rocky start though this morning I noticed it has white spot. Didn't see that at the store. Not a lot so hope it won't be to much trouble to get rid of.
And since he is alone in the tank I dont have to worry about other fish getting it.
