Progress report: Guppies are doing great and so are the shrimp. Not exactly what I expected. Well at least the shrimp clean the filter sponge. Both the guppies and shrimp eat the excess food.
I bought the frozen beef heart packs, very bad idea. I popped the thawed stuff in the tank and the gulpers headed straight for it. Then the beef heart started separating quickly and the messes were made. I had to do water changes to get rid of the stuff floating everywhere. So from now on, shrimp, blood worms, etc...The goldfish, gouramis, banjo catfish, guppies and shrimp had beef heart. It was a mess.
