right now I have monos and dragon gobies in with my archers, no problems at all and between monos and scats I prefer monos. You want some nerite snails and dragon gobies to help clean the glass and sift through sand, don't get dragon gobies if you have gravel, they need sand or at minimum very fine gravel.
I have two cichlids, kribensis (can tolerate light brackish) and orange chromide (is brackish). However, the orange chromide is a mean punk and I had to take him back. No problems with the krib.
while I do have monos is 1.005sg, they would really do better and look better in 1.010-sea water (but that would kill my krib so oh well).
