No worries pal, i read ur 1st post and you clearly mention your plan as he gets bigger. 55-250-400+ is awesome and the fact that you acclimated him on a drip for 4 hours also tells me your a responsible fish keeper, i have no doubt you and this little guy will have a great long future together! Congrats and nice pickup!

Nows the time to get him on a good diet so his growth and tissue remain healthy!

im hoping he eats soon,i know its been 2 days sence ive got him and with the heater malfunction. so ill give him 2 more days if no food responce ill put him in the 55 and move out the spotted shovlenose but any ideas would be helpful asp with other pima owners.

I'm curious, what were the estimates you got for the 4,000G tank?

How much do you think it's going to cost to run a tank that size on a monthly basis?

You are in Syracuse NY? How would you heat the tank to 78F through a NY winter?

well est will be tommarow seeing its a sunday, but being i am good friends with the owner of syracuse aquarum and PONDS we are leaning more to the indoor pond and he would help with the construction of an indoor pond and money i am not worryed about i used to spend at least 1500 on my retic pythons a month and heating my buddy will know more on that seeing they specialize in ponds.

A reticulated python needs nowhere near the space as a arapaima.... You are in over you're head with not only it, but the rest of your fish. Look, I know its cool to have big things, but buying stuff before you can house it is wrong, and people are only going to look down on you for it. Same thing for making up stories. Nobody is going to think you're "cool" even if you had a silver/blue hybrid arowana. So stop trying to be a showoff.
