Hes on a start he just ate I watched him,also I just got a 90gal tank for a small grow out tank I set that up this saterday I can di this couse I gave a well astablished ehaim filters

nice pima update us with pics on the soon to be built indoor pond when u start :)
 
he wasnt playing no games eather,soon as the rtc woke up to fish and came out he flew across the tank mouth wide opin. after 2 weeks ill try and get him to eat krill or some carnavor fish pellits but ill try him also on some shrimp and some small red wigglers cut into pieces.
 
Hey I have a quick question,been a while sence ive been into fesh water but should I use a fan or a power head to move water at the bottam of this 90gal? I use fans in my reef tank. The pima and maybe 3 fancy plecos and 2 pieces of drift woold and some fake plants will be all thats in there for now ill be using one medum ehiam wetdry on the tank till I break down the 55g the the largest ehiam wetdry and med canister filter will be on it. It will be a bair bottam tank.

Their not jealous, just worried since a lot of people buy Pima's and don't have the resources to properly take care of them for life. Plus their comments where directed at redbelly not you, hence the Silver/Blue Arowana Hybrid comment. It may not be the case with you, but it's a common claim that people make saying they'll upgrade in the future just so they won't get flamed. Again so you don't get it confused I'm not attacking you just pointing out who they where talking about and the reason for their concern.

Snakes don't need anywhere near the amount of room that fish need. Due to the flexibilty of their skeletal structure and habits, you can keep them successfully in quite a small enclosure. Perfect example snake breeders keep their breeding stock in what amounts to literally a dresser draw and that includes the big boys like retic's BHB, NERD and a whole slew of others do it and their professional breeders with good healthy stock. While people who breed fish do so in huge ponds usually. Major reason being things like the oxygen content of the water. Snakes breath air and their cages aren't closed systems like a fish tank, they get oxygen from their surroundings not just what's available in their enclosure. While fish only get oxygen from the water their kept in. It would be like keeping a snake in a room that was air tight. That's one major difference between keeping fish and snakes, just one of many.

Hopefully you'll be getting the pond you mentioned as a alternative to the tank as a tank this size wouldn't be sufficient for a Pima for life. Pima's get between 6 to 8 feet so a 10 foot long tank would give him the ability to only move straight forward or backwards. Unable to turn and would need constant water changes to keep up with the needs to replace the oxygen content of the water as well as keep up with the biological waste. A Pima isn't like a red tail which get's at most 4 feet which is about half the size of the Pima. So while that tank would be okay for a Redtail it is insufficient for a Pima. I'm only offering my help because you mentioned it's one of the reasons you posted on ]v[FK, to get some help as seen in the quote you made below. My intention is not to attack, but to inform.

I think you might be telling stories there I have kept and bred many reptiles venomous and non venomous, even at over 20' it would take about month for a retic to digest a 150 pound pig. Thats just my personal experience and from my research.
 
Ive been in the reptile trade for many years as well,i had at one time over 12 retics 1.2 sulawesi retics 1.1 silvers 2.4 bali, 1 female kiadua. Oh buy the way tryng not feeding a 20' sulawesi ones a month! Lmao
I am no longer keeping any reptiles do to laws,and also is this a reptile forum? Belive what u wish im not here to prove any thing just advove
