A reticulated python needs nowhere near the space as a arapaima.... You are in over you're head with not only it, but the rest of your fish. Look, I know its cool to have big things, but buying stuff before you can house it is wrong, and people are only going to look down on you for it. Same thing for making up stories. Nobody is going to think you're "cool" even if you had a silver/blue hybrid arowana. So stop trying to be a showoff.
a reticulated python is one of the most dangerous snakes and often extremly aggressive. So i´m sure he knows what he does.

Great Arapaima. I wish you much fun with that guy

I will not be posting no more tired of the bs im no kid and have no time for u shouldnt do this and that alls I wanted was to shair and advice lots of people on here are afraid to post couse of being slammed and what not,now ill be one of the quite ones as well

^^^why I mainly lurk. Sad it used to be such a great site, till they went all kiddie on here. I firmly believe no 13yr old can care for most of the monsters our hobby is made of!!!! I also love it how everyone here knows everything but half of the advice here is clearly not from experience (there is still good advice here but you will find most of it archived waaaayyyy back).

I know there's no spell check, but you should work on your grammar, at least on here. Reading your posts makes me picture you as a high school kid in his parents basement. Better grammar = less doubt. Cool fish though, keep it up!

Your wrong about retics i have kept them and they can be as tame as any other snake. Plus keeping a snale doesnt have the same care requirements as a fish that could potentially reach such large sizes

Whether or not he is telling stories is irrelevant. He was responsible enough to post questions on advice on arapaima keeping. He said what he was going to do as far as housing them people should just give people the benefit of the doubt. This site is to share knowledge on fish keeping. We should keep that in mind. I also use to breed and raise venomous and non venomous reptiles, and I had two retics, one would take much less of a month to digest her food and when done she would look at me like what are you waiting for? Give me more food! The other, he would take close to a month and a half! Depends on the individual snake as well as their care.

I think you might be telling stories there I have kept and bred many reptiles venomous and non venomous, even at over 20' it would take about month for a retic to digest a 150 pound pig. Thats just my personal experience and from my research.

Dude seriously where from the same area and there's not enough people representing NY don't be like that. This is a forum and no one here broke the rules while responding, though they may not have approached you in the nicest way it shouldn't be a big thing. Your a New Yorker bro so I know you've got thick skin, so put it to use here and shrug it off. Some people on here try to help, I know I did. That's why I told you why you'd need bigger than a 10 foot tank and told you why and just suggested you go with the pond idea you proposed instead.
