No, asian arowanas are illegal in the US.

It's a nice looking fish, I'd add some tankmates if you can find fish large enough to go with it. It's trial and error really, it may tolerate some fish, or it may not. A bigger tank would help, but even then it isn't guaranteed.

I would love to have one but here in Portugal a Banjar Arowana is 600€ = 787$ with like 10/15cm =4/6"
