My new arrivals:)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm growing out festae and ornatum together as well check my ornatum thread. My setup is alot like yours, I too had a small syn in there with them but he was being too rough and pushy when it came to feeding time, now hes in the big tank :) Ornatum and festae are no doubt my favorite fish they are fun to watch and like you said its easy to zone out studying their movements and behaviors. What size tank is that? I also have a few clown
loaches, 2 random geos and a small rotkiel sev. I do water changes every day and they love it, growing like weeds. Good luck! Keep us updated!

Thank you and I'll check ur thread:) I have them in a 125 and the pension are running my tank for now;) good luck with yours and they should be doing great with all those WC

Thanks bro:) looks like I will be getting few more ornatum so I'll combine festea in species and ornatum in species separately. I'm hoping by end of spring to have pairs forming out of both groups

Thank you Ira:) heres another video i just took today. today is the end of their first week. you can already see some of the changes;)

freebyrd I just checked out your thread you have a nice setup and great looking fish we can only hope they become as common as covicts like the British member said. For all the folks with juvies keep posting updated pics and vids all the info on growth rates, temperment, color changes and spawning habits will be well documented. Jason the combination of ornatum, festae, syns and sajica makes a nice grow out community it'll be interesting to see how long will last.

I totally agree with you Ira, and it will be nice to see how long that community will last. might make a couple adjustments with festae-Ornatum ration in a week or two when my new order comes in.

everyone most def needs to keep us all updated with their festaes. it will be really nice to see what affects their growth rate, temperment, color changes, and spawning habits.
