OMG, no offence but never buy from golden garden. Worse quality aros ever. Their so called super chili reds turned out yellowish orange and their tanks are uncomparably dirty, plus they smoke in there which i doubt is good for fish. Lucky's still has the leo pair, but their so called pair is 2 females lol.

Golden Garden service is comparable to Lucky's. Plus Lucky's is so clean, and they always give you some rebate even though you don't ask for it...

Hey guys,

Dropped by the LFS today to find an unusual batch of Asian Arowanas. The strain is called a "Golden Red" arowana, and is a crossbreed between an Indo Red and a Red Tail Golden. I thought it was quite interesting, and the intensity of the shine is quite noticable compared to an RTG. So I thought, what the heck, lets see what it would look like as it grows. It has a few sparkles of shine on its 5th row already, so worst case scenario Id get an RTG or HBRTG. The price was also around that of an RTG.

Anyways, time will tell, here is a picture of this cutie. Just barely 4" and is already eating Hikari Food Sticks and small pieces of shrimp. Cheers =)

If it is really a Red x RTG, I am assuming it will look like those TYs, but you never know. His shape looks pretty good and spoon head appears to be coming, also perfect bite.

So basically, you got the spoon head of a Red, no PLJ like most Golds, and at a very nice price... What else could you as for.

Lol? When did i talk about the quality of their service. I couldn't care less about their customer service as long as they have quality stuff, which they dont. I've never bought from lucky's becuase ive never had anything to buy, not that I dont like it. They get some pretty cool stuff, but some of it is overpriced or isn't high enough quality for my standards. But back to Golden Garden, their stuff is overpriced, never seen them have something really exotic, and horrible quality stuff. Never have i seen a "super" chili red come out yellow/orange. Also found that alot of other people have the same experience. I seriously wouldn't buy there period.
