Update on Genius: it’s been a year since he moved into the 1100. He’s gotten bigger! Lately I noticed a deep/low horn sound coming from the tank. Sounds like a distant fog horn or Tuba. Turns out when AUL’s get bigger they make a sound when breathing. It’s about 2 seconds every couple hours. So cool! I’m going to try to get it on video.

You sure it's not your Niger Cat? When I moved my big guys into that very same 1100g tank, they made the same sounds you are describing.
