Hi guyz

I buy a pair of green axolotls about 2 or 3 week ago and they are about 6 to 7 inch. Here some picture i took, hope you would like it ...

Nice job with them! These little guys are so important. It's depressing thinking of what happening to their natural habitat :( I would keep axolotl in a heartbeat if available in my area.

Hope for you that you will found some =) !!

Nice. And a killer looking tank for them too.

Nice dude!

Some advice: Keep 'em cool (below 75 degrees F [this is a MUST]), Keep 'em fed (otherwise they'll start biting off each other's limbs [they will regenerate, but it is still a very stressful ordeal, and can leave them open to infection]), and made sure ALL tank decorations cannot be swallowed (sand, gravel, rocks, driftwood, EVERYTHING).
These guys are cool, fun, and fascinating, I hope ya like them.

Also, I don't mean to steal you're thread so tell me if you want me to delete this. Here are my little (8") guys, Midas and Spike.

Hi -
Jumping in on your thread too - Hope that's okay? There is a lady locally getting rid of her 5 Axolotls and I am taking them (well buying them - regardless, I am super excited!). She's going out of town and when she get's back we are going to do the exchange. I have been trying to find anything I can on them. I currently have some community fish and assorted Cichlids that I breed. I know the "low temps" issue is a huge concern, so I have that covered and "gravel" they could swallow is an issue... What else is of "great" importance for a first time keeper? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again, I hope its okay that I posted on your thread... You can read all sorts of stuff, but I'd like to find real people to learn from ;-)

Are they true Mexican Axolotls or will the turn into tiger salamanders which means they will be semi aquatic. Very very similar but the Mexicans stay adolescent and don't lose the gills and fins. Dig!!!
