then the price should have been around that price then can't wait for it to get 8-10 inches talked to my dad back home and how i wish red arowanas were legal. He told me a 10-12 inch super red arowana is just around $500 with papers and microchip implant (legal). hope US will reconsider the ban.

I am sure in time the Fisheries Dept will lift the ban, there is currently no obvious reason to uphold the ban as the fish is extensively bred in the Far East and the chances of it wreaking havoc to the ecology should the fish be accidentally released in the wild is virtually zilch
