My new baby Flowerhorn

yea its worth the shot if not try something that has garlic added. my flowerhorn is not picky he eats anything and everything from flake to crisps to frozen to live. i even chop up clams and shrimp and every 5 days a small amount of beefheart. one of the pellets i feed is omega one sinking garlic marine pellets but its food and it has garlic in it which does wonders for fish. and i give him 1 day a week spirulina. just a little veggie matter. but try different stuff and it is normal for new fish not to eat right away sometime 5-7 days it last i know that one of my Geophagus didnt eat for about 10 then out of the blue he ate everything i put in the tank!!
 
i also read that give them the high protien until they are about 6 inches then slowly change it to more like veggie matter. also i was told and read that try to avoid food that the first ingredient is "fish meal". again i was told and read that fish meal is like the crap we humans don't eat and they grind it up so they is not a ton of value to it. but thats just a theory i mean i have feed all my other fish that type of food and they are fine. but my flowerhorn does get more and better treatment as he seems to be more like a dog than a fish lol. thats just my thoughts on food.
 
He was the best looking and biggest (by far) male in his tank, but the ratio was like 10 females to 3 males, all the females were very red and better looking, which is a shame because i wanted a male.
