Just picked this little dude up, he is only 3", and i cant wait for him to get big but not too quickly. anyone know of a good method to feed them so they grow slowly?

nice buy! id love a RTC but i have no where near the room, what size tank are you putting him in?

right now he is in a 55, and then i one year i will be getting a 300. and thats where he will live. i just dont want him to get too big before that. hence the question about slow growth

Yeah Id start construction on pond. They get up to 4 feet, way to big for a 300 gallon.

My first RTC went form 1 inch to 1 foot in 3 months. The second one i got ive had for about a month now and he still is only 3 inches. IDK whats wrong with him. My big one is in a 330 6'x3' footprint and he is at 16'' now. Getting way to big for that and will have outgrown that in a year. His new home is still under constuction and its 3500 gallons. And i still feel thats to small for a 4 foot fish.
