Picked this little fella up last night. Was listed as a titanium flowerhorn. It is slightly bigger than a quarter. I love getting fish when they're babies so that I can watch them develop. How fast these guys usually grow? Right now I have him in a 65 wide and high with some danios. Is there anything else I could put in with him or her?

keep the stocking low hes going to get big ^_^ lots of water changes and high quality food!
 
If you bought it at a LFS don't expect too much. I don't think it's going to be of high quality. Then again, if you like it then quality shouldn't matter. The Danios are going to get murdered once it gets a little bigger lol. With FH's, you're pretty much restricted to only 1 FH per tank. Unless you have like a very large tank.. even then the chances of being successful isn't that great. As far as growth rate, it should grow fairly quick. ~1+ or more if you get everything right(water quality/food wise).
 
I think I'm going to call this baby monster the husband wants to call it. Titan. Lol. Gave the baby some blood worms this morning I could swear it did a happy dance. It is starting to respond more when I go over to the tank.

What is the ideal temperature...I have the tank at 78.
