Don't waste money adding anything else he will eat the danios as soon as he's big enough, water quality is the key with flower horns, as they are genetically weak I have found them more susceptible to disease. I would also recommend treating for internal parasites as a precaution. He will prob kill the the danios before he can eat them.

I'm not sure about a specific ph, consistent is prob more critical. You can try tank mates but they will more likely then not get shredded eventually, flower horns are fiercely territorial.
