AHHH, pics way to big, but beautiful

Good sized portions of a mix colared green, summer squash, carrots, and kale daily, pretty soon I want to get some dandilions in there as summer is just around the corner. I also use this spray stuff once or twice a week of extra vitamins and minerals on the food. I just got her, but I want to start a thing with crickets and gut loading them. So far I just bought some crickets early this morning, let them eat a little bit, and feed them to her a couple hours ago.

I do have a question though, my friend had both a heating rock, and like a heating pad sort of thing, its long and flat. Do I need both of them in there or is the rock enough?

LOSE THE HEAT ROCK!!

ive seen too many herps with burns from those god damn things

go to savons, target, walgreens etc etc and look for heating pads for humans

they work excellent for reptiles and are alot safer than heat rocks or undertank heating pads.

definately agree there...

the heat rock is probably one of the most dangerous things that could be in a lizard tank, get rid of it as soon as possible.

beardies need a bit of a temperature gradient, from 80-85F on one side that's cool, 90-95F on the warm side, and 105-110F under the basking bulb. you need to make sure that you have a uvb bulb (mercury vapor's are the best), otherwise it'll get metabolic bone disease.

a digital thermometer would be a good investment, the stick on disks, and strips can be very inaccurate, up to 10F or more off.

yea i heard way bad things about these heat rocks. maybe could do with a bit more weight but u see so many of these really over weight
