lol but i havent tried shrimp yet though, and i've heard tht they should only been given as a treat. why is tht so?

Shrimp is high in thiamine like feeder fish. I only feed mine shrimp once every week or 2 and haven't seen any problems yet. As long as that's not all you're feeding, it's fine.

yeah i thought soo. i heard tht some can carry disease except if u r breeding on ure own. but how about earthworms ? i feed mine daily, is it okay?

Earthworms are perfectly fine. You're gonna wanna squeeze all the crap out of it though so that your bichir doesn't digest it as well. There's some nasty stuff in that crap.
