welcome to the forums and congrats on your new flowerhorn. there's tons of people on here willing to help you with questions and you can find a lot of it has been covered with searches. Brat is understatement, one of mine is so dam picky he won't eat unless i stand there feeding him pellets. Otherwise he'll let it sit and dirty my tank. Good luck with your fishy!

Thanks FHlov.I guessing it is a female she started eating with in min of putting her in the tank and has not stoped since then.I know we should of left her in the store because she is hurt bad on one side but just had to get her in a big clean tank

Cosmetic Injuries are typically easy to overcome as the fish will heal. What do you mean by hurt bad? If you can nurse the fish back which I always do for sick fish i see in lfs I don't see any harm in buying it. The part that pisses me off the most is when lfs don't even take the time to make their fish healthy after shipments and I see them dying. If they were going to do that, just give me the fish for free lol. Eating healthy is good and yes they are pigs..make sure to keep your tanks clean, they are a bit messy.

Anyways...going off the wall here, Your flowerhorn is a zz Red Dragon. It may look like a female right now, but I actually think its a male. What size is it? I've had males display no head bump, and then out of nowhere bam. Venting is probably a more accurate way to sex your fish when it grows out.

About 7-8 inches hurt bad as got in a fight with a full grown Jag will post Pic in a few if the fish stops long enough. Off topic kinda was free just traded in some fish I no longer wanted but did take 45 min of talking to get him/her

Ok had this guy for 6 days and repair bill is climbing. One broking Emp 400-1 overflow box-2 power heads and 1 airstone. Is this normal of FH?
