they can go a very long time. your scombs prob make them nervous...
the gibbus is alone in a 60 gal right now. the 2 scombs have been moved to the 125. the scombs in the 125 seem to swim around quite a bit, but the gibbus stays in the corner all day in the 60 gal. i took some water to a lfs to test the water and everything seems fine.
