My new DIY LED lightbar with 40 E26 swivelable rotating sockets

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I got the strip put in last night, minus 6 bulbs that I was short. 40 bulbs definitely isn't too much. I also need to get into the tank now to adjust all of them as right now they are just pointing where they were installed. So there is a lot of room to optimize the light right now…there are some dark spots and a lot of bulbs are hitting at the water line.

I’m also not sure if I like these pink grow lights. I’ll definitely be getting a couple blue spotlights.

The fish weren't acting normal for any of these videos, the tank was on emergency lighting for over a week, so I think they were in shock when all of these lights were added.

Here are my two new Pantano cichlids... they already significantly grew in the couple weeks that I had them.. they grew into the huge stomachs they were lugging around.

Here is a nice affect of the new lights. at least now how they're angled way too high.. you can see some fry coming from my fry factory.. even the small ones you see here are around one half to one inch long already.. smaller ones are still close to invisible

These are completely different. I have no idea why you linked them...

I was just sharing another method that may or may not be easier or more beneficial. They are both LED light projects so no they aren't completely different. Sorry if my sharing a video I thought was beneficial derailed your thinking.

I think you're right about it being too pink but it's tough to tell from the videos. Keep us posted, I'm interested to see how it turns out after tuning it.

I have a 450g that I'm looking to add some pink/red/purple lighting to. It was previously over a 180g and looked fine, but the 450g is much thicker glass and thus much greener/bluer tint to it!
