Cheers Cuban, I have been very lucky with that group because the male has paired off and spawned with the dominate female 4 times now and this has happened all in the same tank as the others dispite me not planning for it.
The non paired females do fight though sometimes but line of sight planning is very important with Dovii.

Very nice Dovii! I agree with Cuban.. it's crazy how they are not constantly fighting.
Thanks alot mudfrog, all the Dovii I've had have had different temperaments this group have been together for some time now but it takes monitoring.

I love your 'shoal' of Dovii lol. I'm impressed they're not tearing each other up. That's a fantastic looking 16" male too but imo he needs more room to swim around to keep him strong and healthy.
He has just moved in but maybe your right the tank is a 6x2x2 and he has half of it for now. This may just be a temp home for him while I adjust my fish room tanks but he is eating well and is getting his colours and mojo back.
I would try to put him in my 260g community tank but I am worried he will terrorise the Leichardti, Pentenia, Gator gar and Gibbiceps in there. You can see my tank in the setup and filteration forum I posted it last night.
