I bought a used 145 gallon that had 6 Africans in it the other day. Since I no longer keep Africans I traded them straight across to a LFS for this under 2 inch EBJD. He is all by himself in a growout 20 until he gets big enough to join my "more gentle" 120 gallon tank. My 145 is reserved for my FH, RD, Jag, and Midas. The pictures aren't the clearest, but here he is.

Nice specimen. I just purchased one yesterday. Feeding beef heart, bloodworms, and cichlid pellets.

Not only that, but I paid only $200 for a 6ft 145 gallon tank, stand, top, light, heater, gravel, plants, wood, etc... There a few scratches and hard water stains, but a pretty good deal.

Nice, if he makes it to adulthood you will love that fish. Mine was around 11" when he died, always been the master of the tank. Not aggressive, but no other fish ever bugged him...

He also loved spirulina pellets...more than any meat I ever gave him. So try it out!

Hey bro, watch out with the beefheart and bloodworms.
I fed the same diet to two pairs that both kicked the bucket. My one specimen that has grown substantially and lived for about a year so far is fed omega one flakes and omega one pellets with krill once a week.

Hope it helps.
