I think you are correct as far as proper naming, but carpintis are also called green texas by many people on MFK's and in many pet shops. I have seen them called this hundreds of times. Carpintis = green texas, cyano = blue texas. So a lot of people are going to consider them both texas cichlids. Not saying it's right, just that's the way it is.
