I gave $40 for him.

I kept talking about them and when the owner of a lfs that I know saw them on the available list he got 3 in.

Which store did you get him from?

Can't wait to see this guy get bigger.

Pet warehouse... he still has 2 left. They are on the top row a couple of tanks down from my jags. they are about 2.5"

You might be able to work out a trade for the piranna.

I need to get more room before I would be able to pick up one of those. I think that I will head down there Friday and see if he would be able to take the piranhas though.

Will have to check them out while I am there. They always seem to have the cleanest fish tanks of any store. Like rally said the jags were looking good. :)

I think the jag in the 265 may be a female and if it is were going to put them all together. :grinyes:

We have a Fahaka too, ours is around 10", he hasn`t grown any bigger in some months now.
They are notoriously one of the most aggresive puffers and are not recommended to be kept with ANYTHING!! If they don`t kill it straight away it is only a matter of time. Someone I know has kept fish for many years and told us that even if a fish is 10 times bigger than them they will bite off the fins and tail so they can`t get away before killing it.

They need to be kept on sand substrate, can be fed bloodworms when small then cockle mussel and prawn chopped finely.
Also as you said, snails, cockle in the shell (cracked at first to help him get used to them).
They are very aggresive puffers, any sites you look on will tell you this. There is lots of info out there on the web sites so it would be well worth you doing a search.
We keep ours in a 5 x 2 x 2 tank as he swims around a lot and has plants and a stone for cover.

Thanks for the info.

Why do they need to be kept on sand?
