You cant see the difference from the 2. Colors are different. Black in the dorsal and pelvic fins. Plus lack of freckles on the gill plates.

Yes, a black dorsal is a sure indicator of a female. But lack of a black dorsal does not mean the fish is male.
Looks male but it's tough to tell yet. If it's a female its going to be a real nice one! Put a mirror at the side of the tank, if she sees it and her fins start darkening up you'll know right away.
