1st is female and 2nd is male.Mate em up!rumor has it and I have NOT done this but if you put a piece of slate so she can lay her eggs by the egg crate-he can fertilize them through the divider if theyre close enough.Or you can try like everyone else does and let them be together for a while and if he beats the hell outta her then seperate them.either way she usually gets beat up some by mouth locking and so will he.their mouths will heal up after theyre done.I know theres a dovii pair at an lfs by me and her mouth is always shredded but they dont kill each other. That can be different for you though.each fish is different.ya never know how they will interact until you let them both "play".If either one is getting beat up bad-throw the divider back in.thats also part of how they tell if the partner is "worthy" to mate with.they beat each other up for a while 1st.good luckMoFish78;2785803; said:what do i do to have em mate? right now they have a divider between them (egg crate) ... im affraid to remove the divider because the bigger FH has been alone in the tank for the longest time because he's just too aggressive.
the pleco is just there...doesn't seem to care about what's goin on around him lol they nip at the pleco sometimes but he just shrugs them off.
