I can not get mine to eat anything BUT bloodworms. I've starved him for weeks. He's only about 9 inches and I got him at like 7 or8 a year ago.

For the fish filet are you feeding him talapia?

My M dayii outgrew her 120 at 2yrs old... and they reach maybe 1/2 what a fire eel will... So you have a few years before you will need to upgrade if you don't stunt it by feeding them just frozen bloodworms. Most don't because they die long before they outgrow a 120.. because most people don't know or want to actually care for them properly.

Nice eel OP def worth a spot in any big tank.

How do you stunt it with just frozen bloodworms? What if that's all it eats? Lol I've tried everything. Only will look at bloodworms

Try some red wigglers or live ghost shrimp.
