My new fish-RTC

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
rough estimate? average depending if u stuff him or not. but a daily feeding at that size aint to pricy, its when he gets to about 5" and up. prolly less then 10 bux to get him to about 5", then about 10-15 dollars a month after that. could be more if i threw more food in tho.

so between 60-80 bux worth of food. but as he gets bigger, so does his appetite. so its only gonna get more expensive

my 3' hybrid eats frozen tilapia, shrimp, and pompano mostly, I'd say I spend roughly $40 a month on food for him.

What do you think of sunnies for food ??? I can catch 100's of 2-3" sunnies at a local pond. I'm thinking about freezing them. Pro's/Cons ??? My shrimp/smelt bill is getting as little high :D

I think that would be fine. I use to feed them to mine live. Thing is the sharp spines could do some real damage when swallowed backwards. If you are feeding them after freezing, I would say cut the spines out it's really easy. That's what I do with the tilapia that I buy at the store. They have incredibly sharp spines also. I've fed perch to my fish also, but not intentionally lol.
