My tank has been established for a few months now, i started off with 5 discus and 8 tiny lake Malawi cichlids, i just got rid of the discus and have bought a 5" Giant gourami and a 2 1/2" flagtail. the cichlids are still tiny and are not showing any aggression. do you think i have gotten away with it and the fish will live peacefully or is there no such thing when you have lake malawi cichlids and mix them. the tank is big enough for them all and they have plenty of room. should i get rid of the cichlids now? or keep them untill they attack? or will they be fine? My friend has 4 lake malawi tanks set up so i could easily get rid of them or get him to hold them for me. i really dont want "Bert" the GG or my flagtail getting hurt. hopefully you can help

I'm just curious, what is your tank size?
I know you said they all have plenty of room, but GG's need at least 300 gallons.

well their both really small but its just under that their both very small, filtration is good and when they get bigger the GG is going into a 350 gal just for himself, and diet? What kind of pellet should i use? the flagtail isnt eating at the moment, but he has just got in the tank, the gourami has had a little peck. i will give the GG some veggies every now and then for a treat.

i feed my RTGG NLS floating daily.couple times a week i give it peas, green beans, tomatoes, algae waffers and romaine lettuce as treats.

myself and a large number of people on the site agree NLS is the top brand with the best ingredients.yes you can get it in england.

well i will have a look around and try to get hold of this magic pellet, what mm should i get? 1mm or 2? this gourami is my priority fish now, i really want to get it big and try to tame it :)
