I have no experience to be able to answer, so I will leave it to those with more knowledge. If it were a Gar I would say OMG yes, please ASAP. As long as you qt. the feeders I can't see the advantage to "starvation" of a juvi. fish vs. feeding live.
Ultimately it is going to be a major cost saving feeding adult pellet and non-live. The parasite thing is second and to some extent mitigated by proper quaranteen. IMO a baby wolf will be easily cost effective to feed live. I pay $6 per 100 minnows. 100 Minnows ($6) will last close to two weeks. IMO $12/ month is affordable and less risk of health to parasite than stArvation. Please reserve action taking item for a more experienced fishkeeper than myself though.
