Yes, because when using medication such as malachite green & formalin adding sodium chloride serves no purpose. Adding salt into the mix can also cause osmoregulatory stress on freshwater fish, so if you want to go the salt/high temp route then remove the meds via water changes &/or carbon, and go that route. Otherwise stay on course with the meds.
