Thanks for the comments guys. He's definitly worth it to me. He has an awesome personality and I love his colors. I'm not sure exactly what country he came from because I bought him from a collector who had a friend that imports fhs.
 
man i have been checking these guys out lately and i think i have to set up another tank. the ones at the LFS's around here look like crap compared to that one. you got a grade AA specimen. i woulda probably grabbed the same one cause it's the best one i have seen.

Thanks....there's a group buy coming up later this week. That would be the best place to get a good fish at a decent price. If interested, pm me and I'll give you the info.
 
They average around 10-12in when full grown but can get bigger. I have heard that they need at least a 60 gal, but some people keep multiple fish divided in the same tank and they do fine. I currently have 1 in a 75 gal and one in a 55gal.

could they be put in a 90 gal with a pair oscars
 
They as in more than one? NO! Maybe one, but nothing more. I wouldnt chance it.
